Hi Blackangel, I've just logged in for the first time for ages and seen this comment that I wrote a week or so ago! I'm sorry, I must've forgotten to log in!
Hi, I have a 3 and a half year old son who is showing no signs of ADHD yet. I am a single parent and struggle with my parenting. I feel like a permanent failure and that I am just not good enough, I feel constantly guilty. I have little ...
Stimulants you can get Ritalin, Concerta and Dexedrine. Adderall's not here yet but the slow release version of Dex (begins with V I think) might be coming here next year. You might need to go out of area to get diagnosed but they need...

Hi mhoelterhoff, I was referred by my GP to an Adult ADHD expert and got a diagnosis, the thing is that I had to do the legwork and find the expert first, and unfortunately that's the way to do it in the UK at the moment. You need to f...

MY GP referred me but the local NHS won't cover it. They said I'll need to go out of area or go private. What meds are available here? I was on Adderall XR in the States.
Hey Allie, How have you been the last couple of weeks? Realized I hadn't been on here for ages. How's the new med. working, esp. w/ it being doubled now? Think I'll either be increasing the Vyvanse, or trying something else soon. Hope your week has been fantastic! :-)
The http://www.aadd.org.uk website has really good information on. Congratulations to all involved. I've been reading some of the Forum posts. The info about contacting our MPs, and the suggestions about the Citizens Advice Bureau together with links to find your local ones is a really good idea.
Hi Allie, Enjoyed watching your This Morning interview - great job! :-) What a gift you're giving to so many in the U.K. who are undiagnosed, or maybe diagnosed & feeling alone/searching for help. Thanks so much for posting the link. What new med. are you trying, if you don't mind me asking? You can private message me if you'd like. If you'd rather not say/talk about it, no worries. I just started Vyvanse last week, & so far this is the longest time I've stuck with a stimulant. Think I may need my dose upped (currently 30 mg/day).
I was started on Concerta way back in '03 (after I'd been given a 'borderline' ADD diagnosis by a psychologist), but stopped it due to also being started on Zoloft at the same time, & my body/mind being too overwhelmed by my current symptoms/ the intro. of both meds. @ once. Have a fantastic day! :-)
